On a scale of one to ten, how lucky would you say you are? I always thought this question was odd, until one of my fellow Olives revealed that it’s actually a great way to find out what a person is grateful for at this moment in time. Gratitude is powerful. It empowers you to reflect on what provides genuine value in your life. Once you pinpoint those areas, positive transformation can happen. So, we challenged ourselves to answer this simple question: what are you grateful for?
Here’s what the Olives had to say:
My heart of overflowing with gratitude. I am most grateful for my healthy and happy family. This year has been the most special year of my life so far with the addition of Neven to our family. Watching Otto (my six-year-old) become an amazing big brother expanded my heart to the max and beyond. I’m grateful for my husband’s support in all the ways, so I can show up for our life in the best way. I’m grateful for my health to support me in this very full life. And, I’m grateful for the Olives, our clients, our media partners, and our community. It’s so hard to keep this short because I’m literally grateful for everything, even the hard lessons because they give me the opportunity to grow. — Jenn
I am most grateful for the people that surround my life. My son, fiancé, brothers and sisters, parents, extended family and friends! These influential people have continued to show me love and support my entire life and they have become the biggest part of my life experience. — Joel
I am grateful for the community of friends I have created for myself in San Diego. Since graduating, the transition from a student to professional was tough and the decision to stay in San Diego and be far from home was big, but I was able to cope because of the support here. That includes all my friends from school who I consider family and even the love from my co-workers. — Sienna
I have so much to be grateful for this year! I’m incredibly grateful for my health, my family and the opportunity to work with all of the incredible Olives and our clients. — Jordanne
I am grateful for the opportunity to have new beginnings that challenge me, and a family and husband who encourage me each day. I am also grateful for the opportunity to travel often and live a few blocks from the beach. — Ashley
There’s always so much to be grateful for! But this holiday season I’m especially grateful to be closer to home to spend time with my family and friends. — Cree
I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with so many kind people who are making a positive impact in their communities! I’m very thankful that I can come into work each day and surround myself with a hardworking team that lifts each other up. — Maddie
I am grateful for year-round warm weather, good friends and family, outdoor adventures and for my new Olive Creative Strategies PR team. — Parisa
This Thanksgiving I am grateful for the life I have built and for all the wonderful new adventures I have had this year. My son and husband are the best things that have happened to me and I am forever grateful for them. I am also thankful for Olive, our clients and the amazing work we get to do! — Jaclyn
I’m grateful for all of the people in my life who are impacting me in a positive way. This includes my family, my friends, my roommates, everyone at Olive, any new people that have come into my life recently, old friends that are now spread around the country and of course, last but definitely not least my dog. — Maria

As we prepare to wrap up 2019 and head into a new decade, I can’t help but feel so much gratitude for all the amazing people I have met over the past 10 years. From all of my talented friends in the food industry, to the movers and shakers making a difference in the economic development of San Diego, to the amazing media and influencer colleagues and my Olive Creative Strategies family—it has been a decade of experiences and connections that fill my heart with gratitude.
