Olive is proud to support Global Pay It Forward Day which kicks off around the world on April 28! This year, the initiative is using the hashtags #StandForKindness and #PayItForwardDay to inspire a movement to spread kindness and unity across the globe. Pay It Forward Day is free to participate in and is not associated with any organization or foundation. The mission of the global initiative is first and foremost connecting communities – and the world – through kindness.
The movement, created by Australian Blake Beattie in 2007, inspired over 25 million acts of kindness in 2018. Now in its 12th year, 2019 is expected to be even bigger and more impactful with the global movement spreading a ripple of kindness in more than 86 countries around the world. Last year the hashtags were adopted by many nationally recognized brands and influencers, including WWE superstar Titus O’Neil, prompting a slew of social media posts from WWE stars such as Seth Rollins and Stephanie McMahon proudly stating that they too #StandForKindness. Additionally, Facebook promoted the day to all of its 2.23 billion users globally.
The Pay It Forward United States team is also launching the Stand For Kindness Challenge in schools nationwide. The easy to follow framework helps students create unique solutions for how to make their school a kinder place. The school that comes up with the most creative idea will win $1,000 and the title ‘Kindest School In America’!
